I have 2.. I'm a bit of gun snob never thought Id even own one handi rifle. a buddy has a trapper in 45-70 it shot very well and was fun to shoot. I decided I needed a handi-rifle I kept looking for a deal for one in 45-70 never did but did find a classic carbine in 45 colt which is probably the nicest looking handi rifle ive seen also thought it would make a nice companion to my black hawk so the classic carbine was my first and is easily my favorite rifle at the moment. A few months later I started gun smithing school one of the instructors had a handi rifle in 45-70 for sale for $175 though needing a little TLC it was the deal id been looking for so I grabbed it. For one of my refinishing projects I did a slow rust finish on it the stocks are stripped and will be stained and sealed soon.

Ya know, I've added a few since I last posted here... $:-\$ Lessee... 5 receivers, a stainless 30-06 barrel, the 50-140, and a 357 Max just this week. You can add a 12 gauge pardner to mine. I will have to get a pic of the family together. My updated lineup is in my signature line. I've got one of my dealers keeping his eyes open for a 16 gauge, that would be next on my list unless I get frisky and send a receiver in for a .357 barrel.

1st handi was picked up at a yard sale the neibor was having , that was years ago bought it for the wife to deer hunt she has used it with deadly results

I liked it so much that i always wanted one of my own and now with trading a few gun stocks I made, I now have my own 243 and added a 280 to colection of now 4.

20 gauge NEF was my first at 9years old
Then bought a 16 gauge topper brand new for 40 bucks from walmart at about 15
Bought a 32" 12 gauge NEF at about 18
Bought my dad a Buffalo Classic abou a year ago
Picked up a older 12 H&R about six months ago at 31 and found a 24" barrel on here for it. Turned it into a synthetic stocked "Swamp Donkey"
In the process of trading my Shikari for a newer 45/70 with spare 12 gauge barrel.
So that will put me at 6 with 2 spare barrels

I really want a 410 for some reason though

I love single shots as well. Have a Ruger #1 in 375 H&H as well as a few old 22 single shots

I GOT THE 28 AND THOUGHT I WAS DONE

then i saw a 32GA.....its actually a tranquilizer gun
it is rifled.....49cal round ball fits about right
50 cal maxi ball is slightly looser then in my renegade ML
it has a 22 blank adapter.....might just make some little arrows for it

i now have all guages....i think

Here I thought I was some kind of freak. I have 9 frames and 15 barrels. I guess that makes more than one of you super freaks. Try to take only one project on at a time. Right now working on a 500 smith for a fall black bear hunt. (Anyone know an engraver in the northeast). My last big project is pictured below. 22-250 with less recoil than my hornet. Always looking for a good deal and have a barrel on the WTB thread. Have a project in mind for my twin boys, starts out with a pair of 223 youth models and adds a 30-06, 410, and a 12 with choke tubes, add a full size stock and they are ready for anything. My wife says I need to slow down they are only 8 weeks old. Glad I found you guy’s.
