I've been a member for a while but don't think I ever posted what I had. As of right now I have my 50 cal sidekick, 20 gauge pardner, a homemade 30-30/20 gauge combo, and a .243 superlight compact soon to become the donor frame for a .223 survivor.

Well, got to admit I have gotten to this rodeo late in life, almost 70. Got my FIRST NEF two weeks ago, 2002 edition in .44 Mag. Now if the weather will cool off so I can go to the range, been triple digits lately. Take care and just keep on keeping on, John.

Only 1 nef or handi-rifle for me....22-250 for varmits around the place. Would like couple more barrels and wonder if they are drop in or do they need smithing?

That's one of the many questions answered in the FAQs and Help sticky, the best place for newbies to spend lots of time reading.

Just joined the forum a few days ago after picking up my first Handi with a 24" bull barrel in .223. So that's one for me. Buuuut, already thinking about maybe a .308 and a 30-30. Really interested in that 35 Whelen I've been reading so much about on here too! Oh crap, my wife's gonna shoot me with one of these damn things yet!

I traded one my 20 gauge for a youth .22 so I can take my nephew out shooting but I did get my .223 back from the factory with my new barrel.

I am down to one receiver with the original barrel (Buffalo Classic Rifle 45LC) redone by Wayne York to 50 Alaskan, and one additional barrel in 45-70. Tried an encore in 45-70 - frankly, not as good a shooter as the Handi, and more kick too. Traded or sold all my other Handis. Still have too many darn guns as far as the wife is concerned.

After coming home from the gun show today i finally, after many years, have a H&R handi-rifle once again. please add one .270 Win. with synthetic stock and a acc. 20 Ga. Mod. barrel with last 3 digits of SN on the Lug. More barrels in the future.

Just got interested in Handi's a few days ago. Found a lightly used .223, hardwood stocked, 24" heavy barreled one at a pawn shop and it came home with me. Fits like a glove and shoots great. Might be more in the future.

Started out with a used NEF 270. Sold the barrel and bought a 30-06 UC and a 444 marlin barrel. I then found a brand new 357/20gauge slug combo for a good deal on gunbroker. I promptly traded the unfired slug barrel here for a 223

(still waiting for it to come in the mail)

So that brings us to-

2 complete with 2 additional barrels

At age 71 I am new to this forum. I have gotten my first NEF/H&R rifle. It is the 45/70 Buffalo Classic. I am working up a load for it using plated bullets after leading problems.

I have placed a scope on it and getting some 1 1/2" groups at 100 yd . Just placed a Kick Killer lace on butt pad and gathering lead for filling 3/4" copper pipe stock weight. My shoulder will like that. Am considering a .223 heavy barrel Varmint with the plywood stock. VERY informative forum here.
