Does anybody have any experience with the 1903a3s that Sarco is currently selling.  They said that the guns are reworked drill guns.  I'm ok with that provided the work is well done.  If you have one of these let me hear about it.

I'm not sure I totally agree.  But first, I've never seen a Sarco 1903 and therefore can't comment on their condition.  BUT...

Its my understanding that most, if not all, 1903 rifles sold by the CMP recently (when they still had them) were returned from VFW and American Legion posts.  They only fired blanks at funerals and Memorial day celebrations etc.  How they were cared for, and/or abused, I don't know.  I was fortunate to get a 1903 from the CMP last February.  I assume that it was a former "drill gun" and it is a decent shooter.

Drill gun= welded action, plugged barrel will not function as a weapon if you don't count it as a club
the nation that forgets it defenders will itself be forgotten
