Having lived on the West Coast for a number of years I am aware of those hatchery vs wild fish. I stopped taken the wife to fish with me. She has absolutely no sense of hah hah when it comes to catch and release. If it gets on the hook and into the boat,  it is hers to keep period. ::)

Tim,
Once again, you're living the life.  :) As Uncle Sam Ain't Released Me Yet (U.S.Army), I probably won't have many of those days for quite some time yet.  Someday I hope to though.  How far is all of this from Ft Lewis, WA?  Maybe there's a chance??

Thanks, Dinny

Dinny,

The Klickitat is a fair ways from Ft Lewis, but there are lots of rivers with steelhead and salmon much closer, I'm sure when ya get there you'll learn which to fish when, I don't fish much away from SW Washington, we have some of the best close by.  ;) Map shows the route to the town of Klickitat which is on the river of the same name in the county of the same name!!  ;D

Tim,
Look what you did!  Now I have yet another dream-spot location to decide upon for my next assignment. :)

Thanks, Dinny
