I've got a CZ 527 American with a 20" barrel and im trying to find a good load for it... I'm having horrible luck and running through powder, primers, and bullets like a mad man...

I've got

69gr Sierra Matchkings
60gr Nosler Partition SP's
75gr Hornady HPBT

using Remington 6.5 small rifle primers

I have had great luck with many Differant Powders and Bullets.
60gr V-max is a Go to with either AA2230 or H355.
I've had great Luck with the 36gr Barnes Varmint grenade with RL-7 and BL-C(2) .
69GR Sierra and 68gr Hornady work well with AA2460 and Varget.
Your 6 1/2 Primers are Not Recommended By Remington For the 223.  They Recommend The 7 1/2 match ..
why this is, I'm not sure. I believe maybe the 6 1/2 was made for the Hornet size cases with the Lower presure..

I'm new to reloading so I only have limited offerings.  I just tested some loads today out of my Handi.  This was using a 55gr vmax.  I use H335 powder because that's what's available here.  My best group was 24.5 gr.  Gave me under 1/2" @ 100.  I didn't really realize how small a half grain was till I loaded only that in the tray.  I bet there were only about 30 granules in the tray.  I can certainly see why weighing is important in consistency.

I'm using 25gr RL-15 in my 1:9 bushy and 68gr Hornady MHPBT for about and inch or less at 100 yards.  I'm going to try BL(C)-2 and 60gr AMAX on Sunday.  We'll see.....

Kwells,
I sent you a Pm on the Loads.   I don't Like Listing Loads, That are Near Book Max Loads.   They are something that needs worked up to.

Had a terrible time loading the 60 partitions and them things aren't cheap to test for loads.Had good luck with blc2 with the 69 matchkings.Would suggest you drop down to the 50 to 60 grain bullets and see if they aren't easier to find a good load for.All the 50 and 55 grain bullets were easier to find a good load for than the heavier ones in my 1 in 9 twist.

Don't have my load book handy but you'll need to work up your own load anyway.

Funny...always seem to circle back to 748 when the bullet weight gets closer to 55gr.
