Locking Lug NEEDED !!! Help !
« on: August 25, 2009, 02:34:33 PM »
Called T/C and the 2 piece locking bolts are on B/O

Does anyone have one to help me with ???

OK, here goes...Barrel on the right is my .45 / 410 and I have 2 others barrels with the pin in the lug at the same point...

Just picked up the barrel on the left (44 mag ) and mounted it and what a problem to release it...
Notice the pin set farther forward then my other, making it nearly impossible to release....

When I call T/C what lug should I ask them for.

Thanks for your suggestions. or does anyone need what I have and we could swap ??

The locking bolt on the right is the newer type, two piece(it's split in half) while the one on the left is the old original type found on the very early made barrels.  TC will gladly send you a replacement.  Just tell them you need a two piece locking bolt.  They interchange quite easily.

Earlier this year I bought several NOS bbls, and asked for and received several of the newest style locking bolts.  I still have 2 sets, and can spare one for you. I will PM you for name and address.   The cost will be the same as what T/C charged me. [....$0.00].
These bolts have the side-pin cast into them.  Be sure to save and use the original spring.
