Great round but a little pricy compared to the price just a year ago.  I use these for personal defense in a Smith model 60 and 642, both are chambered in .357.  I do this for my wife who has a hang up about the .357 but will readily shoot the .38+Ps with no problem. I do understand they may not be as effective a personal defense round in the short barreled guns as some others may be, but they were available at the time so that is what I bought.

Dave, dowby:  guys, if you want to see how they compare or perform, go to the next page on this forum and look for 3 posts:  "Informal Penetration Tests" by the LouisianaMan, "32 and 38 penetration tests" (??) also by the LouisianaMan, I think and "38 158 and 200 gn bullet penetration" I think.

There was a lot of effort put into testing the penetration of those slugs and one heck of a lot of skim milk that was ingested to do it, and it began with a penetration test of the bullet you two are talking about, the 135 gn GD.  I think the results were very informative.................

I feel so healthy..............
