Of course its indefensable. It was hard to pick up on that point in your post. It seemed as though you were highlighing his Christian faith as the underpinnings to this horrific crime.

Any way you slice it this is another prime example of a broken justice system.  Having been previously convicted of kidnapping and rape and having received sentences of 50 years and life, respectively, what in the hell is he doing walking the streets?   

I think the folks responsible for him being free are as guilty as he is in this case.  Had they enforced the sentence and kept him behind bars this would have never happened.  Sad but this is not the only case where a scum bag was released and committed another crime.  In my opinion, if you do the crime then you should serve the time.

I think rockbilly hit it on the head.  Religion, what kind, or lack of, has nothing to do with this behavior.  Does not matter what this kind of person professes to be or not be, it's just sick and every human being has something in them no matter what they believe that knows this is way wrong, and if they don't, they are just sick and need to be put down like a bad animal.  

Our government failed us, as usual, due to leftist wing nut idiology, which is which you would have needed to let this guy out after the crimes he already had done.  More importantly...the government failed this little girl.  If anyone else needs to go to prison or worse, it would be the people on the board that decided to let this guy out die to their leftist views on laws, crime, and punishment.

Bringing up religion is just to futher another agenda, that should be a seperate post.  All sane people of all religions know this is wrong deep inside and would have freed the girl long ago, no matter what religion.  If there is an exception to this, then that religion and group of people need to be stamped out for the good of mankind and never to be heard of again.

 i remember families that acted similarly ... that ive come in contact with through the years....
i know one very sweet little ngirl whos mom left her in a very strange families home,,while she looked for work ,,i guess.... i knew the family as they went to school where i did,, an the dad was the janitor..
i knew the girl a good many yrs later...i married her an got the full story ,,[i thought then.]..
 now i don t think she ever told me the whole story...bed knobs an broomsticks was about as dramatic a
movie as she would watch ,,that an the sound of music...i put togather that with other things i know about her..... its sad to put the possibilities togather ,,of what the truth might be...much much to late for it
to do me any good..might explain why she refused marriage counseling,,when i was fighting to save my marriage...she always said she was afraid of things that might get said.... i mabe misunderstood what she was talking about..well she was a good wife in most every way, you could ask a woman to be..nuff said

I  keep telling people there are reasons for shovels, shallow graves and bullets to the back of the head but, does anyone ever listen to me - naw.  These two kidnapping child molesters will just go to prison and probably go to a safe unit or a mental unit where the general pop can't get to them.  They willprobably use a insanity defense.....

A CA parole officer was on Larry King Live last night.  The lady that Garrido kidnapped and raped was also on.  The CA parole officer made excuses for Garrido's parole officer who is his (the parole officer)  neighbor, co-worker and bud. 

First the so called "justice system" failed to keep the scumbag in prison.   

Then the cops failed to check on the scumbag when a car matching the description of the one used in the kidnapping of the 11 year old was found in Garrido's yard:  All the cops had to do was run the perp and find out that he was on parole for kidnapping/rape. 

Then the CA parole officer failed to do his job.  The CA parole officer on Larry King made excuses.   

The cops failed to properly check Garrido out when the neighbor called 911:  The guy is a registered sex offender.   

Kudos to the campus police officers for a good job.
