sir ive been a security guard ...let me assure that i had almost a day total of training..
this on the job... this was a private community so the situation was different...
i don t know whether nto defend security guards or not...
i knew some that were running scared...i know some that were able to diffuse
anger an crazyness,, even if a fella was drunk...
ive had them put they arm around me an say i loove you man,, peasch..my answer was i love you to brother,, as they were helped to thier ride..most time you can take the situation to a less volital state,,
if you do it right...if you can t most times its because the individual had an agenda coming in...
that policeman was given orders,,, an it was apparent...heck he may be ready for full retirement next month...ive seen policepeople carry any diraction they could take way to far...
from being on a power trip to being so wishy washy that did more damage to the situation than good...
thankfully many i know,,just use the hard method ...what ever,,reason an his training an experience,,calls for..whether its restraint ,,reason with folk or taking somebody down... i only remember one little lady guard about 90 lbs
who acted according to who the person was...several times id come in at 1130 pm an she would be standing with the keysout,,,sayin tony go talk some sense into those people ,,i can t get them to leave..i probably should have told the boss but id just put in my report that myself an said guard had to clear the pool area...it would not have bothered me a bit but she would have the worst offem mad an confident by the time i got there...
that took some setting an talking..
