Im a low volume reloader. It takes me 3 hrs or so to load up 30 or so rounds.I cant imagine loading for an AR15. Im looking to buy rounds for a  AR15 whats a good choice & how much Should I spend

Finding it in stock is gonna be your biggest problem. When it's in stock Midsouth has an excellent buy on it in bulk. I can't recall the name of the outfit but they make both new ammo and reloads using once fired brass. I've found none cheaper when it's in stock but as I say these days it's not in stock anywhere very often.

GB is right.  Finding in it stock is the challenge. 

About the cheapest brass cased ammo is the PMC 223 55gr FMJ.  People used to pay upwards of .50 cents per round on panic auctions, but now it seems to be getting under .40 cents per round if you can find it.  Good luck.

what your really need to do if you want to feed that ar is step up to something like the 550 dillon. there under 500 bucks and it doesnt take long to shoot up 500 bucks worth of .223 ammo in a an ar. I could probaly do it in a week!

+1 on reloading with the dillon 550B.  Reloading was one of those things that just seemed inpossible to me before I did it, then afterwards it blows my mind why it took me so long to start.  Buying factory ammo is painful for me to do anymore.

FWIW, cheaper than dirt's newest catalog (about a week old) is showing LC M855 (62 gr green tip) 1000 rnd loose pack at $730.  Not that cheap but about 25% less then last catalog. 

Oh, just checked the web site, it's now $650

It used to be, not so much anymore, but they do have some cheaper products.  They have a nice assortment of MOLLE gear that's cheap knockoff stuff.

Cheaper than Dirt is owned by Midway USA these days unlike when they started. They are nothing but an extension of Midway now.

In the new fall Cabela's Master Catalog I received yesterday they have Remington brand .223 FMJ ammo I think it was listed at a bit under $450 per 1000 which is about what I paid for the PMC stuff last year when I bought my ARs. Not cheap by any means but in comparison to what the ammo has been selling for of late it's a super bargain price really. It's a sign to me the country is beginning to come to its senses and those willing to pay scalper's prices have bought out and now more sane prices should return.

I used to follow prices of particular items on gunbroker during the panic, just to get a feel for how prices were.  One of the items I used to follow was the 1000 round packs of PMC 223.  At one point they sold for over $500 (that I saw, probably more).  These days there aren't to many bids on the bundles with a starting price at $330.  Amazign how time changes things.  At a local gun store I can find a 1000 round case of PMC 223 ammo for $410.  I'm debating on it, because I'm impressed with PMC 223 ammo and I think it's a great product at a great price.
