Armed Revolution, are you in or out?
« on: August 31, 2009, 03:23:07 PM »
I picked this up on a blog and it went farther into detail than any others that I have read. I would say that this article pertains to our survival as from here on out, things may get hairy. I will not say where I stand on this, but thought that maybe some of you may be interested in reading it and figuring it out for yourself.

I've been saying for several years now such a revolution is inevitable and will not be avoided. I think it's a hell of a lot closer now than ever.

It can't come soon enough for me. The people running this country and this administration are the most corrupt violators of our laws. We had a revolution and a civil war before, there's no reason why its not possible again. I think that if we had a state(like Idaho, Texas, Montana, etc)  with a governor and legislature with some balls, they could pass a resolution to seceed. That would be a good start. More would follow. Our founding fathers wrote about the American people ability to abolish the federal government if it ever got out of control.

It's time for a revolution when those that we elect to uphold the constitution violate it as a matter of open common practice and principal.

I read the article and I think Mr. Epstein is being pretty optimistic in how a revolution could be pulled off. If we ever fall into that kind of anarchy we would be wide open for an attack from outside the US. Also any terrorist cells here would be much more able to destroy pieces of our infrastructure ie. dams, power transmission lines, bridges, etc.
Unless there is a large part of the military switching sides there is almost no chance for a rev. to succeed.
We have 12 million illegal aliens here now. Who's side are they gonna take?
There are just too many possibilities for me to figure out on how a rev. could be pulled off without destroying everything. Millions dead, and who knows what kind of ecological disasters would happen.
The only outcome that I think would happen realistically is a breakup of the US into several smaller nations.

Nothing wrong with that. Secession is a valuable legal tool that is always available to the states.

Our founding fathers wrote about the American people ability to abolish the federal government if it ever got out of control.

Looking at it from where I sit, our federal government is definitely out of control and getting worse as each day passes.

And to Mr. Gunn, after doing a little digging into some facts from The American Revolution it appears to me that it only took 10% of the nation to win that war. That's a very small percentage of population coming together to form this great nation of ours. I often wonder what the percentile factor would be on a similar circumstance in this day and age.

I also run across an article a few weeks back that Texas had been talking about succession. Anyone else here heard anything about that?

Gov Perry's trial baloon went over well in Texas. He was ridiculed on the national stage so he has kept quiet on this. I think he was hoping more states would voice the same but it never happened which is a crying shame. Secession is a perfectly legal tool and I'm just astonished that we have not had even one single state seceed from this criminal enterprise called the Federal Government.

Let's play what if......Texas ceedes form the US then what?  Is Texas then a place where the other 49 states would need a passport to enter?   What form of govt. would they have?  How is money generated to fund the new country?  The only companies that come to mind right now are Texas Instruments, Garrett Electronics and Dell.  If someone from say Kansas wanted a T.I. calulator or a Garrett metal detector would they have to import it?  If Mexico decieded to retake Texas could they expect any help from the regular US?   I am showing my ignorance on this cause I have no idea.  What are the benifits and disadvantages of ceeding?  Help me understand the reason both for and against.  I am personally fed up with the current state of affairs and would probably defect back to Texas if they ceed and they would let me in.  Would they offically be The United State of Texas?   Would things be any better if they did ceed?  Help me here people, I really have no clue.
Thanks

Let's play what if......Texas ceedes form the US then what?  Is Texas then a place where the other 49 states would need a passport to enter? YES

What form of govt. would they have? Republic based on the original US constitution minus the unneeded provisions for states versus federal authority PLUS the Texas state constition, blended together for a constituion .

How is money generated to fund the new country? They have an economy and can form a reserve back modled after current system using a new monitary process.
The only companies that come to mind right now are Texas Instruments, Garrett Electronics and Dell.  If someone from say Kansas wanted a T.I. calulator or a Garrett metal detector would they have to import it?  Yes, if it crossed their country line. Import & export process.

If Mexico decieded to retake Texas could they expect any help from the regular US? No, they should not expect it. They are their own nation with their own military.

I am showing my ignorance on this cause I have no idea.  What are the benifits and disadvantages of ceeding? Our federal government is out of control and violating the constitution and the states rights as defined there-in.

Help me understand the reason both for and against.  I am personally fed up with the current state of affairs and would probably defect back to Texas if they ceed and they would let me in.  Would they offically be The United State of Texas?   Would things be any better if they did ceed?  Help me here people, I really have no clue. How could it be any worse given that we have a communist in the White House and a majority of Liberal Communists running congress? Texas should follow the true contruction of our constitution and they will be just fine. The low lifes will leave and good people who want to live a productive life will remain. They should seal off their southern boarder to prevent illegals and deport and they find. Texas has a real economy unlike states like a Delaware or Florida.Texas can actually do this and so can states like California.

Texas would do nicely for the name , been that for years why change . Guess the guy in Ka would be buying an import now would he not ?
Money , hum maybe oil since the federal laws would no longer apply ?
As far as Mexico , think Texas national guard and Rangers to name but a couple .
Would things be better , well tax money would be spent in Texas not big cities on the west , east and mouth of the miss river .
the new state tax would just be the old federal tax staying in Texas .
And they could close the border , north and south .
Now if you ment for the rest of the USA and the cash loss naw it might not be better .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

And Texas has all those oil refineries that the U.S. would have to make some sort of agreement with to get gas, diesel etc. I think Texas is big enough to stand on it's on.

Will there be any choice if we are in or out? The answer is no, the question needs to be, which side will you be on? I know what side I'll be on, the right side.

For all of you that think Texas seceeding from the Union, is a good thing. Better think of the consequence's. You have a nation on your southern border, that for the most part, is out of control. Drug lords running around with vertually no consequence's for their actions, Mexican military about as useful as a Playboy in the Barney Frank office.
I don't blame any of you for the state the federal govt. is in, and wanting to get out. But before you jump into the water, better know how deep it is. I know you boys in Texas can hold your own, but remember the old saying,(Remember the Alamo)-you lost that one if you remember correctly.  gypsyman

Today the Mexico issues are spilling over our boarder and the federal government is doing NOTHING! So I get the point that Texas as a seperate nation would be weaker than the USA and Mexico could see this as an opportunity. I think Texas can take care of itself. Mexico is not much of a military threat to anyone.

The republic of Texas has a nice historical ring to it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't it used to be called that before it was a state? I seem to recall that General Sam Houston was the President of the Republic of Texas.

For some of you here who are military or ex-military as I am myself may remember taking an oath to defend The Constitution when you were sworn into service. That oath as I very well remember it was not for just the time I served, but the oath I took and swore to was for the rest of my life until I took my last breath. I don't plan on going back on it  or I wouldn't have sworn to do it in the first place. There is an organization of oath keepers that some of you may be interested in knowing about if you took the same oath to The Constitution as I did. You can find it here: http://oathkeepers.org/oath/

Here's the orders that the oath keepers WILL NOT obey!

OATH KEEPERS: ORDERS WE WILL NOT OBEY

1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrantless searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control."
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.

OK, a little devil makes me ask.
I'm aware that using the Military inside the US as a police force etc is a No-No. So let us say Texas is now its own sovereign Republic which means it is a foreign country, Right?
The No -No doesn't apply anymore? Right ?

Hmm, that isn't a pretty thought.

I think the question would be is How many WILL obey those orders you listed??
The other question would be how many of our military would be loyal to thier country or thier president?
It appears that the current administration is pushing for people to be loyal to the president and what he wants not what the country wants or needs.
Many people have no clue as to how big a roll the media played in the rise of nazi germany.. Who did they praise and pledge loyalty to ? Wir Heil!! Ja voll

My loyalty is to the country and the US Constitution. I have ZERO loyalty to the president or for that matter the office but never to the man holding it. Any who would ask such isn't fit to be called the leader of this nation.
