Anyone going wolf hunting in Idaho tomorrow?
« on: September 01, 2009, 02:13:43 AM »
WOLVES ARE SET TO BE FAIR GAME IN THE WEST . . . A wolf hunt is set to begin in Idaho tomorrow if a federal judge doesn't stop it today, reports The New York Times. Montana's season, scheduled to begin on Sept. 15, is also being challenged in court. The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation has entered an amicus curiae brief supporting the hunts. For news on the Idaho hunt, stay tuned to the Idaho Fish and Game Department's Web site.

No.  Idaho is right next door, but I don't eat wolf, so I won't be hunting them either.  Well, on the other hand, I wouldn't eat sea lion, but if they opened season on them on the Columbia River, I'd have to consider participating in that.

Only a couple of remote high country units open for wolves on Sept. 1.  A few more units open on the 15th and then the rest of them including north Idaho where I live open on Oct. 1.
