New Versa Pac

I'm either weak or y'all a bad influence. Have read about these.  Was walking thru Gander Mtn the other day and was was looking at a 22 singleshot. Looked closer at it, and on the side it said  VERSA PAC so asked the guy how much. he was gone about 5 minutes and said $129. They were closing in 3 minutes so said would come back tomorrow. Wasnt going to, but even tho money is tight i could save  that much by not drinking beer or buying nonessential food items.  So yes i did go back and buy it.  I like it except am going to have shave a little off forend so i can put 410 barrel on it.  Bolt is off by a 1/64" or so.

great buy, was it a used gun with just the .22 barrel or was it new and come with the .410 barrel also?....<><....:)

I got mine at GM for the same price and it came with a 410 barrel.  Maybe you should check?

I was thinking the same thing. If it was new and did not come with a .410 barrel perhaps un unknowing salesperson just fouled up. The .410 barrel could be still sitting in the back room. Perhaps they could refund him some cash or merchandise to cover the missing .410 shotgun barrel....<><....:)

Guess I wasnt clear enuff, was NIB with the 410 barrel,   wont get to shoot it until this weekend when go up northern  MN to the cabin

Congrats and welcome, your seemed clear to me, you just need to do a little work to make the forend fit the .410 barrel, studs were commonly not centered well and forends usually are too tight to shoot well, that's one of the things Ilion should have corrected by now, Gardner's equipment was real old.  :-\

Quikdtoo, thanks didnt like reaming the screw hole but had, 410 bnarrel shoots 6" high at  15-17 paces but it sure puts a nice patter on a 2liter SunnyD bottle any critter is in trouble with, the 22 barrels shot really, seemed to shoot to POA but never targeted it, just walked around the woods and shoot/plinked. Put about 100 round thru it. Am going back up spend a week or so up there
