Obama dinner celebrates Ramadan

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama has praised the contributions of American Muslims at a dinner tonight to celebrate the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

 Obama joined Cabinet secretaries, ambassadors and members of Congress to pay tribute to what he called “a great religion and its commitment to justice and progress.”

 The president also welcomed American Muslim community leaders to the event in the State Dining Room.

 Obama said Islam is “part of America.” He said the American Muslim community is diverse, like the broader citizenry of the United States.

Nothing the ob1 does surprises me, I am  still astounded that in a country where 70 % are supposed to be conservative. That son of a mother could get elected even after it was brought out who he was and who his friends are.

The only answer I can come up with is unadulterated self centered greed and corruption, not to mention an entitlement state of mind brought to fruition by years of "good feeling" do good-er liberals! 

Now the fact that he kisses the hand of Godless muslims is small potatoes in the big picture as far as I'm concerned. He thinks he is that good he still thinks he is the messiah.

I believe you've hit the nail square on the head here.  He was elected by the ME generation.  'O' played the tune that they wanted to hear,  more Government freebies, less personal responsibility, let us take care of you, we know what's best for everyone, etc, etc.  And the ME generation just ate it up.

I hope the dinner was after dark , as muslims cannot eat or drink except between nightfall and daylight during their holy month.

 Resurrection Sunday (Easter) is past and I don't recall him and his ilk saying anything about the 200,000,000 or so Christians here being a "great religion and it's commitment to justice and progress"..  Just a bit more insight into the heart & soul of Barack Hussein O.
