How about P.A.S.S.
« on: September 02, 2009, 06:59:56 AM »

   Parent Approved Skip School

I heard about it on the radio a while ago. It seems some people are going to keep their kids out of school next Tuesday since that's the day Obama will be speaking to all the kiddies.

I think it would have a greater impact if we as parents sent notes or made phone calls requesting that our children did not participate in watching the video or the "class activities".

Capture the minds of the young....that's how it's done.....ask Adolph, he knew.

Heather, do you mean class "regulated" activities.  I'll bet a lot have to write reports on what they heard.  I just hope we have a lot of conservative teachers and parents out there, pointing out the crap.

They won't.  Same as when a friend told the school he did not want his kids watching the Al Gore global warming movie as it is based on fake science and conjecture and not fact as well as the data is flawed and showed the teacher the article showing that 80% of the data collection centers are too close to a heat source to be valid. The teacher said no problem and then sat her down in the class with everyone else.
the teachers answer was "well since everyone else will know about global warming and the effects she needed to see the movie as well so she will have the same frame of referance".
Keeping the kids home or stopping by the school to take the kids out for Lunch may be a better idea.

I had a nice chat with Evan's school today.  His school WILL NOT be participating in Obama's address to the students. I was told that they had too much parental complaints about an innocent celebration last year when Obama was elected that they feel participation in this event would upset parents.  I had changed my mind about the whole situation and had decided to ask if I could be present during the presentation.  I was actually curious on how he planned to brainwash the kids.  I also figured if I was there I could explain the lies to Evan.  Our discussion didn't get as far for me to ask if I could come.  As soon as I mentioned the address I was informed that Weaver would NOT be participating.  I hope they suffer no federal reprocussions from their actions, but I couldn't be more happy that they are doing what is best for the children.

I like Heather's idea; mine was similar. The wife was dead set against letting the kids watch this thing, but I think we let them watch then explain how he's full of crap. I believe we as parents should not work to shield our children from stupidity, but rather teach them to recognize it for what it is.

I love it.  That has to be the best statement I've heard all week.  :)

Some schools offer an "opt out" opportunity, where those who refuse the propaganda must wait it out, either in the hall or vacant class room..that is indeed curious.
Liberals fight against allowing Bible study or prayer in schools, in which cases they claim the chance for unbelievers to "opt out" is not enough. They claim that just allowing Bible or prayer anywhere near the school is an "infringment upon their "rights" .
Even if a parent chooses to "opt out", that doesn't stop or even slow the zeal of the Obamaniacs. A student kept home, and cancelling that day's "state aid", may get their attention..especially if it is a couple hundred students..

I talked with my grandson about this he is 6. I asked him if he thought he should help the President.
His answer was classic and in the form of a question. "How much is he going to pay me?"
I almost bit a hole through my lip trying not to laugh, and I told him it does not pay anything.
He wrinkled his brow and said I'll just help you and then you can take me fishing. ;D
