Hunting in Indiana Forum??
« on: September 02, 2009, 01:40:26 PM »
Fellow Indiana Hunters!

Here's our chance to vote for a "Hunting in Indiana" forum.  I think it would be a great place to discuss new topics like:
    • Hog Hunting
    • Pistol-Caliber Rifle Hunting
    • Indiana Veterans
    • Hunters Helping Farmers Program

      Show your support by voting!!

*I volunteer myself to moderate the forum*

I will read and make posts to this forum, faithfully!

Thanks, Dinny(from New Albany, IN) ;)

I would use it. There are several of us at GBO who live in Indiana. It would be nice to talk to "locals" about specific things going on in Indiana hunting and shooting. I would post and read this forum, among the 4 or 5 others I regularly post on.

Please note the NEW procedure for requesting forums that no longer uses polls to get them established. I've had far too many new ones approved based on polls that then get no use. The poll is too anonymous and doesn't require someone to put it down in writing by their name they want it and will use it.

So I've changed the rules recently and now if you want it and will use it you must make a post saying so. Unless I get 12 posts made saying they will use it they forum will not be approved. Anonymous polls are getting too many opened that get no use.

This way if you say you will I'll have a name to go back to and ask why the heck you said you would and now aren't.

Bill,
I completely understand.  My post was edited, perhaps LaOtto222 will edit his as well and any others will follow the lead.

Thanks, Dinny

I will use the Indiana forum.  I think it'd be great since it usually becomes a hoosier conversation every time pistol cartridge rifles comes up.

I would like to see an Indiana forum as well.  With school, 2 kids and hunting season coming up I might not be on here every night, but I'll do a weekly check in.

I would enjoy/use a Indiana hunting forum. Right now I surf GB mostly for sale items and accessories for my Encore but the other forums I frequent are mostly based on target shooting/self defense. I would love to hear about the gear others use and success stories from the lucky ones.

Thanks for the heads-up.  I am  a displaced Hoosier, but when the wind is right I can throw a rock from my home in MI and hit IN.   :D   I grew up in French Lick and still hunt southern IN with my brother on a regular basis.  It would be fun to use an IN forum.

I am going to hunt Indiana next year so this is sort of timely for me. There's some things I'd like to find out about hunting there so I will make posts on the forum.

I would use a Hunting in Indiana forum, especially since we have some interesting requirements for Firearms Deer Season. It would be nice to have it on a big site like this to get more input.

OK there appears to be enough interest so I've set it up. Now let's see how many of you actually use it who've said you will.

Zeeks,
Just because you voted for us doesn't mean we're gonna herd any deer your way into Ohio. ;) :D ;D Ok, maybe the little ones. Here in IN, we keep the big bucks on a leash or fenced in for most of the year. ;) When we finally let them go (during hunting season), they stick around for the free food and we pop 'em. ::) Another deer season ended in success.  ;D

Thanks for the vote and welcome in.

haha    I won't hold that against ya.   When you all started talkin' about hogs in southern IN, that peak my intertest.  Hummm  now deer,  I never thought about that ;D  (kidding).  NW Ohio is to flat for me.  I prefer some hills.
