Nope, the 45 Cowboy Special is the same length as the 45 ACP.

The 45 S&W Schofield is longer.

If you want 45 ACP legth why all the bother?  Get a 45 ACP cylinder for crying out loud!  By the way I stand corrected on thinking they were 45 Schofield...that would have made sence!

DEE, while scouting out single actions at a couple of dealers the other day, I saw what I think is an Uberti in 45ACP
It was a fine looking piece, blued with brass grip frame, maybe a 5 1/2" bbl.  If I loaded 45ACP, I would have snapped it up.

NO, the .45 Cowboy Special is exactly the same length and has the same capacity as the .45 ACP and the .45 Auto Rim. I have 500 of them...

There is a stainless blackhawk 45LC/45ACP converstion new on gunbroker.com as we speak.

Linebaugh mentioned to me that H110 works very well in the short acp cylinder in the blackhawk...but I don't remember the load. If you try that though, do NOT get it mixed up with your regular 45 acp ammo...as you don't want to put that load in a semi-auto.
