how good is winchester ammo?
« on: September 03, 2009, 01:56:45 PM »
i have a sp101 3inch, and a gp100 4inch 357magnum. i just got back from wal mart and bought some winchester 110 grain hollow point personal defense ammo, how good is it? i normaly only buy federal, speer, magtech, or hornady, i have never shot winchester handgun ammo, exspecially 110 grain i usually use 125, or 158. when i saw it i didn't know whether i should get it, but with ammo hard to find i decided to give it a try. thanks for any help.

A lot of guys like it.
I've shot a bunch over the years and haven't experienced any problem.

well i just got back in from my back yard shooting range,(man i love living in the country) the ammo shoots great. the only problem now is it shot so good i shot all of it, i'll have to go back to wal mart and hope they got more in. the recoil is no more than +p 38's, and at 20yds i kept my groups at about 2 1/2 to 3 inches. that better than i did with my other ammo, it may have a small bullet but with accuracy like that i'll get me another box or two for sure.
