Obama speech not great news for broadcasters
Fri Sep 4, 2009 1:44am EDT

By Nellie Andreeva

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - President Obama's televised prime-time addresses are becoming a tougher sell to the broadcast networks than his sweeping health care reform has been to Middle America.

A day after news broke of the president's plan to address a joint session of Congress on health care issues in prime time Wednesday, not one of the Big Four networks has said it would carry the address live.

Brett:  the simple reason why the big four won't broadcast his speech to congress is that he will flub it up so badly and it will be seen by middle America as a total failure before it begins it will become a embarrassment to him and the dumbocraptic party.  I don't think that even congress is onhis side with this.  I think the senators know how strongly most Americans feel about the proposal and I do not believe he has a quorum.  Oh, btw, I don't think Fox News is considered one of the 'big four', so they don't count.

His healthcare fiasco has been the subject of some nasty town hall meetings - they gave him only the courtesy of his being president that they didn't treat him the same way some of the townspeople treated his healthcare missionaries who came to spread the 'word'.  But this proposal is not a guaranteed 'go' and might not 'go' at all, with or without national tv coverage.

Look at it this way - klinton hid behind closed doors and arrogantly decided that Americans did not need to know what was being discussed - she got her fat butt thrown out of that party.  There is little difference between her attitude and that of the media to protect obama from his own public flubs by not airing his presentation to congress because the end result is the same - hide the truth from the American people.

I just hate politicians.

The American people are, pliable, slow and stupid. Even many will or already have understood just how horrible this decision was. Now if they can just finally wake up and recognize just how big the problem really is.
