Taurus 445 45 colt Barrel Length
« on: September 07, 2009, 11:16:13 AM »
I have a 445T with a 2 inch ported barrel. Factory 250 gr lead ammo is only
about 625 fps. Was thinking a 3inch judge barrel on this gun would work great. Anyone know of a gunsmith that works on Taurus?

The model 450T is the 45Colt the titanium snubbie (I have one in the neat flat blue finish). The 445T is the .44SPL. I doubt you could have change the barrel as it had a stainless liner and titanium barrel shroud. I know of no gun smiths who will even work on them. Have you called custiomer service at taurus?
Taurus no longer makes an all titanium revolver and you will find it is one of the few Taurus that will go for a lot more money than it cost.

I use a 180 0r 200gr bullet and get good velocity at max loading about 1000 fps. I wouldn't change a thing about mine looks and shoots great and I est. I have shot 2000 + rounds through it, some were pretty hot and the pistol is still very tight.
