Just wondering if anyone knows how the rimfire barrels work on the Encore as they don't have the hammer switch like the contender.

The center of the rimfire chamber and bore is lower than the centerfire.  This lets the firing pin strike the edge of the rimfire case at 12:00.
The chamber is lower by about 1/2 the diameter of the rimfire case.
