All baseball bats, tire irons and pool cue sticks will be made out of malleable rubber like the stuff Nurf balls are made of. All beer bottles will be plastic and all beer mugs made of Styrofoam.   All new automobiles will be equipped with two additional air bags mounted at the front and rear bumpers with sensors designed to sence impending impact with pedestrians. Let's just make safe or outlaw anything that could possibly be used as a weapon. 

THREAT AGAINST KNIVES . . . The fight to protect America's knives is continuing, with threats by some to classify assisted-opening knives (and all one-hand opening knives) as switchblades. The American Knife and Tool Institute has been working with key committees in Congress to address this issue. Currently, there is a Senate amendment to the Homeland Security Appropriations Bill (H.R. 2892) that would add a fifth exemption to the Federal Switchblade Act. This amendment would exempt any folding knife with a "bias toward closure" from being declared a switchblade.  im with you ...knives ,,bows ,sharp sticks an guns better stick togather as the enemy will
certainly make every effort to devide these groups...right now i know fishermen who think its time to outlaw guns an anything that can be used as a weapon...how stupid these particular ones of which i speak are...i can just picture them coaxing a fish into a frying pan by holding a nightcrawler in thier fingers...

Stupidity seems to be running rampant in this land of ours. Hell, anything could be a weapon. Better round up all those hammers from the roofers and carpenters. No sticks or rocks can be where you can pick them up, yeah the ( stupid ) list could go on and on.

Stupidity is the REAL problem if anything should be outlawed that's what should be. If folks still had and used common sense things wouldn't be in the shape they are.
