Hey did I miss something??

Yesterday Judge David Carter( U.S. District Judge- California) gave Orly Tait( sp?) the lawyer for several plantiff's in the case of challenging OB'S eligibility the go ahead for "early discovery" in her case. I have not seen or heard on TV, newspaper, or this site anything
pertaining to this news!

There are some serious standing issues to overcome.  Then there are some serious jurisdictional grounds to overcome.  Finally there are some serious substantive issues to overcome.  My very limited understanding is that the judge has not ruled on a motion to dismiss yet...

This is a wildly complicated issue and I have absolutely no idea where or how you would get started.  Wild-eyed crazy talk aside, I suspect this is a dead issue, but I could be wrong.

When a majority conservative Supreme Court refuses to hear the case (and it takes 4 to hear a case meaning Alito, Scalia, Thomas, and Roberts could force a hearing) I would guess you've reached the end of the road.

Hi
   I understand if the judge rules for discovery then Obama has to provide the documents he has paid much money to block from being seen.
I also understand he has paid about 900,000.00 dollars to law firms to prevent his records from being seen.
The judge is David O. Carter an ex marine. Several of Dr. Orly Taitz's clients are also marines.
I am thinking the constitution means something to him.

Aother court date has been set for Oct.5,2009, I think to hear a summary motion to quash any discovery proceedings.
I think the judge deserves some "attaboys" for his decision. He probably is catching alot of flack because of this!!

I suspect that dukkillr is right, and I have also said as much on other threads. If the Congress WANTED to see them, they would be seen. Republicans as well as Democrats do not care if the public curiosity is satisfied here. If my suspicions were correct on his citizenship status, all hell would break loose in not only DC, but the rest of the country.
Regardless of right or wrong here, the politicians have not the stomach for it.
