Do Model 97s use the same rear sight as a Model 83?

Reason I'm asking is that I am looking at a used Model 97 that sports express sights.  I'd want to change them to standard sights and was curious if the Model 83 sights will work.  Have a line on a set of them cheap if I buy the 97.

I don't think they are interchangeable. The catalog lists different part #s and prices for the rear sight assemblies (standard). As follows parapharased from the catalog:Premier Grade Rear Sight Assembly FA-83-PS (model 83 of course) $113 retrofitted and FA-97-PS $96 retrofitted. I would think they are different sized assemblies judging from the prices but I have been wrong in the past. Hope this helps.

The rear sights are not interchangeable. The 83 set is longer. There is a set advertised on Gunbrker that claimed to fit both. I e-mailed the seller telling him that they are different, and he responded and changed his Ad. Front sights are interchangeable between both models.

Well, it is getting to be not so cheap, now.  It is on one of the auction sites and I am no longer the sole bidder.
