Dinny, you and your wife are growing a wonderful family.  May God keep you safe, always.  You already know how much I appreciate your service.  What a fabulous thing it is to do to save just even one life.....and start another.  I know you've started a couple and saved a lot more.  Someday, I may have the honor of meeting you face to face, but for now you're simply one of my favorite people.

Aw shucks, Pete, you're gonna make me blush.  :'(

I've only been able to start one life that lasted for any time at all. The wife and I lost two this year to miscarriages. Better luck after we move... :)

Congrats, she looks like a handful.  :D

We have 3 girls now. 9, 4, and 17 months. We lost 2 as well to miscarriages. Kinda messed the wife's head up for a while after each one.

Good luck Dinny.  :)

Congratulations to you and your wife.

Your life has just changed in SOOOO  many ways!    SOOO  many WONDERFUL ways!!

Right now, it's nothing but work, but trust all of us that have been down this road before - it will get better.   A lot better.   Right now, it's an endless routine of little sleep, diaper changing, feeding at all hours, and worry upon worry.

And, then, at about a year, it starts getting better and in about nine months after that, it gets to be wonderful.   The daily discoveries that she will make will amaze you.   Simply amaze you.    (And, you will find out all the things that YOU had to learn at about that age that makes you the person you are today.   It's great.)

Have a wonderful time with her.   Your life has been enriched in ways you cannot BEGIN  to fathom.

Tom

(Five minutes later:   RATS!   I just realized that this thread is over 1.5 years old.   Oh, well, what I said still applies.   But you know all that by now.)

Tom,
You're right. If this is Chris' first child the advice will be well used.

WTM, congrats on your son.  Hard to believe they are that small when you watch em grow so fast.  Now, this is off topic a bit, but just what the hell happens to em about 12-13???? ???  Wife had 6 when we got together and 3 of em are "teens" now. :o  Oldest ones are coming back to normal in their twenties, hope I survive till the rest do. :-\ ;D  DP
