what does cylinder bore mean when it comes to the choke of the bbl is it more like full choke or something different probably sounds like silly question to you all but am thinking about getting an 18.5" bbl for my mossberg 500 and it says cylinder bore.

It really is just what it sounds like it is. That is bore diameter all the way with no taper and no flare just straight cylinder bore all the way to end of barrel.

Sure you can. But make it foster slugs cuz sabot slugs really need a rifled barrel to shoot well. With no choke to it your patterns with shot will be open and you might be amazed how much more game you kill with it unless you try blasting away at things way out of range.

Ill, If you're still int he market for a short barrel, may I suggest that you get one of the 20'' ones.  My 20" barrel get more use than the  24"slug or 28" barrel vented rib barrel. Short and manuverable but still able to change chokes around.
