I am shooting a H&R BC in 45-70, I'm useing h-322 and I am having trouble getting my COL short enough to chamber, I'm using once fired brass, Some or hornady and the other brass has R P stamped on it now the hornady brass is 2.035 and the R P is 2.098. When I try to seat the bullet in the hornady brass the case buckles but with the R P brass the case dosnt buckle and the round will chamber in the gun. Now my question is, Is the Hornady brass short or is the other brass a little longer b\c it was fired from another gun with a little diff. chamber dimension? is that possible? I'm using 58 grns of H-322 and a 300 gr barnes bullet. I'm looking for some real knock down power! also if some one else knows of a powder the works better let me and feel free to ask me all the questions you need!
