There can be no divided Allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isnt an American at all.We have room here for but one flag, the American Flag.... We have room for but one Language here, and that is the English Language.....And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.

Tuesday was also the opening day of Bow Season in CT (Deer & Turkey). I took Tues & Weds off and hunted. Saw a lot of Does, Fawns and Turkeys. Saw one decent 8 pointer, but he didn't come into Bow range.

Had a very, very close encounter with a Black Beer at 7:40 of opening morning. I heard a loud noise up the ridge and movement caught my attention. To my surprise, a 300lb bear came slidding down a tree that I had walked under earlier that morning, heading to my pop-up blind. He then meandered down one of the game trails that I had hoped a large buck would come down. He continued slowly until he was under 20yds from me. He sniffed around a bush for a few minuutes and then wandered of into the brush behind my blind. That sure got my blood pumping!!

If there were a Bear season in CT, it would have been a chip shot...
