A heck of a week....Carol's home.....
« on: September 16, 2009, 05:59:40 PM »
Guys this is off topic but be under standing........ O.k...... Cannon......... it's in the post.

Monday I took M'Lady Carol to the ER in the past month she has been going down hill

this past spring as some of you know they told us she was in remission with the cancer,

as you know chemo took it's toll, and she spent two months in a nursing home and came

home the end of April a couple of weeks after I had my little Afib....

back to Now,  she was dehydrated, high white cell count, low kidney function and had involuntary

muscle spasms from being dehydrated. They admitted her to the hospital that night,  so far all we

know is she has a kidney blockage, and the cancer may be back and may include the liver.

I spent this evening with M'Lady celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary (9-16)  a heck of a place for a

celebration...........  they did an MRI on her today and more blood work, should know something tomorrow

as far as the liver and the rest.

I am asking those who Believe in GOD and his son Jesus to join me in a prayer of healing for Carol,

I may not be on here as much in the next few weeks, and I may not be my humorous self when I am

so please excuse me if sometime a post doesn't make a lot of sense..... or perhaps worse it dose......

Will do, sir.

Heavenly Father, physician of our souls and bodies, Who have sent Your only-begotten Son and our Lord Jesus Christ to heal every sickness and infirmity, visit and heal also Your servant Carol from all physical and spiritual ailments through the grace of Your Christ. Grant her patience in this sickness, strength of body and spirit, and recovery of health. Lord, You have taught us through Your word to pray for each other that we may be healed. I pray, heal Your servant Carol and grant to her the gift of complete health. For You are the source of healing and to You I give glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Lord our God, Who by a word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every sickness and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to Your servant Carol and cure her of every sickness of which she is grieved; and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Both now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

I feel for you and Carol; my Wife is away right now helping out a friend with his Wife who's fighting lymphoma. Hard times to go through.

I would say, given the theme of this forum, that a few supplicatory prayers to St. Barbara might also be beneficial.

It's 11:30 I have just returned home from the hospital I have been there almost all day,

Today we learned that the cancer has metastasized to the liver, because of her weakened

condition there is no more they can do the love of my life M'Lady Carol they tell me has

more than weeks but less than years to live. They don't know how long......

She will be coming home probably tomorrow they are arranging Hospice help which means

that nurses will be making frequent visits to see that she is comfortable, check her meds,

Bathe her etc.  I have to have someone here with her during the day when I am at work

WORK! something I don't even want to think about..... If I could I would stay home with

her until the end it's my place I'm her husband........ but practicality demands I keep the bills

paid............ Guys this really sucks.  Hopefully some of the ladies from our church will be able

to help.  I will talk to my company and see what they would be willing to do so I can spend

time with her.  This is so hard.  I want to thank everyone for their prayers in times like these

they do help,  How much time she has is in GOD's hands I want to be able to spend time with her

but I am not selfish and don't want her to suffer more than she must I don't want her to stay on my account,

I know she will be going home to a better place it helps a little knowing that,

I can say I am not Angry with GOD how could I be it's not His fault,  but I am feeling a little disappointed.....

that to will pass........ I will love her til the end I will comfort her as much as I can,

and I will try to make a few more good memories with the time we have together on this earth.

Allen, think about the time God has given you with her and the time you have left with her.  God will take her to the better life and you will join her later.  Just live the rest of her days, one day at at time and cherish each of those days.

 Allen,

Sorry to hear this. I'm still praying for Carol's recovery no matter what the doctors say.

My Wife was very ill 10 years ago and needed 24 hr care at home. I took three months off work under the Family and Medical Leave Act. If you have a 401(k), you might look into a loan to cover bills. You don’t have to pay it back if you decide to treat it as a distribution in the future.

I'm one to try not to inconvenience others, but I couldn't have kept my sanity through those days without the love, prayers and support of family and friends. Please ask for as much help as you need, both from us here and those close to you.

Allen, I know this is hard for you, but I also know you read your Bible. In there, God says that Mankind is his greatest creation. It also says that He created the heavens and the Earth, and everything in them, He places all the stars, and knows them all by name. This He did in 6 days, and rested on the 7th. Since then, He has spent the rest of time building His Mansion of many rooms, preparing a place for us, with Him. How glorious this will be, we will know with our Soul and Spirit, when He calls us. When that time comes, Carol will be well taken care of, for she is precious to Him. Take care of her 'till then, and rest assured, you will be with her in God's own good time. Take care of yourself too, she needs you strong for her. If you get the time and the chance, please keep us informed! Jim

Allen -  thankyou for sharing these difficult times with us.  Know that you have our prayers as we share your pain.  (It's tough to give hugs at a distance.)

We never leave other people emotionally.  You are right in your thinking through carefully what your responsibilities are at this time.

It's OK to be mad at God - He can handle it.  Our Maker steadfastly loves each of us -- even as we go through tough times.  We still must pass through life's experiences.  The choices we make we remember as well.

Thanks for letting us support you.

Family.  A word that used to mean those to whom I was immediately related.  Now it means so much more.

Allen, you are part of my family brother.  I have never met you or your wonderful wife but you are family never the less.  When a member of the family hurts, the entire family hurts.

I ask God's prayers for all of us.  For the strength for each of us to support Allen and Carol in any way we can.  We ask for God's heavenly guidance so we can help our brother.  Most of all Lord comfort Allen and Carol.  Lay your healing hand upon your child and cure her of these issues.  But in all things let it be your will and not ours.  Amen.

We are all with you Allen.

Wow.  I mean, just, wow.  That is a hard blow to accept.  Savor the time you have together.  Keep your faith in God.  He doesnt give us anything we can't get through if we rely on Him.  We may not like the ride or the results, but we can get through it. We can't know His will.

If you start thinking "Why me (or us), Lord?" read the book of Job, or think of Christ on the Cross.

Brought Carol home from the hospital last night,  the doctors say she should not be left alone and needs a full time care giver,
for now I am it, I asked our pastor to see if any of the ladies from church could do this but there were no takers, Carol's mom
has Parkinson's so she can;t help. the Hospice social worker helped us fill out the medicaid forms and thinks she can get it fast
tracked depending on who gets the form, once qualified she can have a full time aid here which means I can go to work and keep
a roof over our heads,  sorry if this is more info than people really want but it helps talking about it.
