I remember your words well GB, I also can read her political plot very well. She came from an area of NY which is relatively conservative and was appointed to represent all of NY, which is very leftist. In order to be appointed, she had to renounce her earlier "convictions" in order to move up in politics. You saw through her quite well indeed.
This should be a lesson for all of us about professional politicians.."it's all about ME....not the people!"
Look at a map of NY; take all the cities and paint them blue, paint the rest of the state red and you have a good picture. Unfortunately those small geographic areas have more votes than the rest of the state. Other states, such as Oregon, Washington, even California suffer from trhe same problem.
So the turncoat Gillibrand, is likely quite safe now..trading her "principles" for a senatorial job.
