Bah, dont sell yourself short..   I consider males as "men" at 17 since that's the age you become part of the militia.

But any ways,  congrats and Happy Birthday!

I was 18 once-uh I think-yes almost 34 years ago.

You have so much to look forward to in life and I hope and pray that it is all just a wonderful ride along a cool country road in the fall with all you could ever want lying right in front of you.
Live each day to the fullest, with care, and understanding and you will forever be amazed at the great wonders the LORD our GOD has provided for you.
Take care and live a long wonderful life.

I don't believe there is an age at which one automatically becomes a man. Being a man is not about how old you are or how old you feel. It's about doing the right thing just because you know it's the right thing to do. It's about standing behind your word 100% no matter the consequences. It's about standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves. It's about a whole buncha things but it ain't about how many years one has been on this earth. I know folks who've been around a long time and still I'd not call them a man. Some I hesitate to even call human.

BTW Happy Birthday.

Point is, as already mentioned, it goes by soo freakin' fast. Bill hit it spot on for a definition of a man. Be the best one you know how. Frome what we all see of you here, your doing just fine!! Keep up the good work!!!

I think I met you here when you were 16.  In my opinion you were a man then.  First heed what Bill, Graybeard, said, then complete your education, get your career established, and then raise a wonderful family. We're all proud of you.  Happy Birthday ;D

Congratulations on reaching 18!
Have you considered the military before going to college? Lots of opportunities plus the college money doesn't hurt either. I have had the chance to serve my country and presently have a daughter (Navy) and a son in law (Army) serving now.Plus an adopted son that has his time in and doing real well with his E-9 retirement money  every month at the ripe old age of 42.
Another thing is you get to play with  some neat toys ;D
Good luck and God Bless in all your endevers
