Its almost here
« on: September 19, 2009, 03:48:24 PM »
Well me and my son went and hung our stands today,I know its a little late but he is a senior at OU and it seems he has been a little busy studying,I told him its all right, better two weeks before than the opening day.
Saw a big doe on the way in,my son says do we take does.I said we take the first deer that comes within bow range. Then we take and have it made into brats.(except the backstrap we need steaks too).
If you ever get to try deer brats you will be hooked forever.
After I sent some home with him last year he decided he would like to take one for himself this year.
Nothing beats a hot brats and Oklahoma football on a fall Saturday afternoon. ;D

A couple of my friends say that sigis makes really good sausage from duck as well.  Expensive but worth it according to them.
