A buddy of mine bought a rossi, ironically I bought my huntsman and thats what he wanted but he had to get a rossi because they stopped making the NEF. It is an imported model, but its not a bad gun. It has a standard breech plug and he shoots 2 50 grain pellets with a 245 grain powerbelt and gets 1 moa every time. His also likes just about any primer you put in it. Trigger pull is decent as well. The BIG difference is that where it is imported they use a way different kind of steel and powder sticks to the inside of barrell like nothing I've ever seen. We ran 200 patches through the barrell and it still would not come out. We used Sweets 7.62, CVA bore foam, Remington bore cleaner, Burchwood Casey......you name it.
He sent his barrell into Rossi and they told him as long as it shoots good there was nothing they could do for him. One plus is the factory ram rod is way better and heavier duty than than huntsman factory rod. Its not a bad gun.......shoots straight, never misfires, and has never given him any trouble in the woods. Thats not to bad in my book. But he paid more for his gun than I did my huntsman.
