« on: September 20, 2009, 07:02:35 AM »
Thank you all i have learned alot from you guys. I took a 12ga. 28" mod. and put the front sight off of my tc omega over the existing bead and the peep came off of a tc encore paint is krylon ultra-flat recoil pad is a limb-saver slip on. now i can shoot shot buck shot and slugs in the same gun. I took it out a while back and it patterned well with win. #6 shot ,shoots 00buck real nice and brenneke black magic short magnums 3 shots in 3 to 4 inches at fifty yards. I think i will try some remington sluggers and winchester rifled slugs next. Thanks again for your help Jeff

+1 how did you attach the peep? That's definitely a cool looking multi purpose shot gun.

Sorry so slow to respond work out of town only home on weekends. I removed the blueing and roughed up the chamber area with a dremill tool found some 3500 lb epoxy and a c-clamp. so far so good i have fired about 30 rounds out of it and it is holding fine. the front site i drilled a hole in the bottom of it so it would fit over the bead and epoxied it on. hope this helps Jeff

Let us know how the rem sluggers shoot. I've got an SB2 frame sitting around, been thinking of doing something similar with a 22" 20ga modified barrel and i've got a set of fiber optic sites of a muzzle loader that i scoped.

Maybe next weekend supposed to rain all weekend and half of next week. I will keep targets this time and take some pictures. Went to wally and the guy told me someone had just bought all the 15packs of sluggers he had so i will check him this weekend see if more came in.

Just thought i would let you know that if you epoxy the sites on your shotgun they might be on there for good. I was wondering if they would stay on so i put the channel locks on them and could not get them off. so make sure they are straight and the ones you want because my would not budge. I used a two part epoxy the package said was 3500lb bonding force.

I mounted a set of TrugloŽ Slug Series Shotgun Sights for a Remington on a gun like yours with epoxy two years ago. Use a slip on recoil pad. Sighted in to hold a three-inch group at 75 yards with sluggers. Filled out both years with it. I will be doing the same thing with a twenty gauge in the near future
