new binos

I sold my Zeiss 10x40s, What do you think I should replace them with?

To be honest I never really used the Ziss because I just didn't like them. My all time favorite binos were a set of bushnell 6x30 custom compacts. Of course they haven't made them in years.

My next binocular purchase is going to be in the Nikon Action series.  They're well priced and I think the optics are great.  Rugged and light too.

I have the action series as well.  Although not the best, they are nice for the money.

I'll second the Zen Ray. Bought their mid level, and will write a review in the next couple of days.

Take a look at Minox.  I think they offer a good value for the price.  Not the cheapest, but they compare favorably with the very best.

Leaving on vacation tomorrow for a month. I'll be outside and able to look at new glass in some real sporting goods stores. I plan to see what I like.

I do have a nikon 7x50 bino that I used to keep on the boat that I like. So maybe I'll look at nikons offerings.

Zen Ray 7x36, or Meopta 8x32, or Leupold Yosemite 6x30, or one of the many $400-$800 8x32s or 8x42s The Leupold is very nice, for $100.

I have a set of Nikon Action Extream 7x50.  They work great for low light viewing.  The depth perception is outstanding and cost less than $250.

I've heard the Swaros are real nice. No DM I haven't found "the Drilling" yet. There is a shop in Atlanta that carries some. I plan to look there if I have time. Our schedule is filling up fast with all the family & friends that want to see us while were outside. 

I'm learning more about the drillings and hopefully I will make a educated choice when I do find the right one. Right now it's a lot easier to buy than sell, so I don't want to settle for something I won't be happy with.
