Jimmy is just ignorant. osama is dangerous tho really it is not so much him as the masters he serves as he is but doing their bidding as he is being paid to do. They've been grooming him since childhood to do their bidding. He could not have been effective in Jimmy's day as they didn't have teleprompters in those days and without one he proves himself merely a blithering idiot. Without his speech writers and teleprompter he'd have been laughed out of politics long ago.

Well I guess your right about that Questor.

I look back upon the 50s & early 60s with fond memories. It was a simplier time, less distractions. Our family didn't even have a TV until 1957 and then only 3 channels. The police cars still said "protect and serve". Business respected the Lords day. In the south at least there was respect shown to elders and women. And common courtsey shown to all.

You could hunt & fish anywhere. There were no fence laws in florida where I grew up. In centeral & north florida it was all open range back in those days and we could go where we pleased. It was the end of a eara. Hasen't been the same since.

I lived through his administration and saw how badly it affected people's lives. He was the first person I ever voted for when I was 18. I have regretted it ever since.

I will have to admit to that same mistake Questor. One thing it did, was show me voting for someone you dont know can be bad and stupid.
I pay attention who I cast a vote for now.

Are you guys talking about Clinton? While he was in office I thought he was one of the greatest evils to ever befall this country...he just looks like a horny frat boy in comparison to what we have now.

It took Carter to make me aware of how to learn some issues and candidates before voting. It took Clinton to make me a conservative (i.e., not necessarily republican). Fortunately I had learned enough so that I didn't vote for Clinton. This time I was one of the "hold your nose and vote for McCain" crowd, although I thought he was a horrible candidate. Mostly I did it realizing there was no way he could win.
