.380?
« on: September 21, 2009, 11:14:05 PM »
I was thinking of picking up a HP.380, does anybody have one? If so, are they compact? My current carry unit is a full framed ruger, and if it ain't 20 degrees out, it ain't conceled. ;D

I don't own one but I've seen a few & they're quite large.  In my opinion you will be hard pressed to conceal it.  If you're looking for a concealable .380 that's affordable and reliable check out Bersa.

I have a couple of them. Their nice little carrys, the only problem I've had with them is the magazine that comes with them always double feeds. Also be sure you know what your doing when you take it apart to clean it, tough to get back together.

I would tell you to look hard at those Kel-Tec PF-9 model or the Kahr's in 9mm. They have twice the knock-down energy of the .380-auto and the Kel-Tec PF-9 is the smallest 9 on the market. However, they can be finicky with hollow point bullets. That issue is trial and error more or less!
