Hello everyone,
I wanted to share with you my IN deer hunting arsenal. Just looking for feedback to see what everyone has and what works best.
H&R Handi rifles/shotguns:
.45LC choice load: Barnes 225gr XPB loaded by CorBon
.357 Mag choice load: 158gr Speer Gold Dot loaded by Buffalo Bore
.500 S&W not loaded or used yet
.20ga ULSH only shot 6 times need more range time
.410 pardner choice load: Brenekke 3" slugs *this gun has not been used for a few years now
Ruger .44 Mag Carbine
choice load: Hornady 240gr XTP factory load
Newest addition: H&R Handi rifle 45-70 22" (bought new for $170) load: undetermined, but for deer I will use the 45-70 Shorts(1.625")
Winchester 1200 smoothbore 20ga slug barrel
choice load: 3" Brenekke Rottweil slugs
2002 Mathews Q2 29" 60#I have killed nice deer with the .45LC, .44Mag, .410ga, and the Win 20ga. I am drifting away from using shotguns now that we have been permitted to use the pistol caliber rifles.
Let me know what you have and how it works.
Thanks, Dinny
