Where to take piggy 'post mortem'
« on: October 07, 2003, 06:04:22 AM »
Does anyone know of a good, reasonable butcher shop/slaughter house in N.E. Tarrant county that will do pigs?  I'm getting ready to thump some oinkers on a friend's property and want to get the meat done up right without shelling out an arm and a leg of my own!

What's the going rate for 'piggy fixin' these days?

Nope.  Time/materials/city life conspire against it.  I'd rather just drop piggy off and pick up little piggy packages.

That's too bad.  A good place to skin and bone is hard to accommodate.  Good luck.

Ask the local taxidermist - they would probably have a lead for you.

Look around for local meat markets. I don't think you'll find one that will let you just 'drop it off', but I'm sure if you skin it and gut it, they would butcher it for you. You might find that the price will make you want to do it yourself.

There is a place of soveriegn row in dallas that i believe does it its not that far if you live in the midcities area. just take the mockingbird exit and while your on the service road before you get to mocking bird turn on the street next to wb33 the radio an tv station and stay on the street all the way down to soveriegn row its right on the corner theres a sign advertising wild game processing on the building.
