If true it is a set-back.  Nevertheless, the Iranian government is an enemy of many of the things we hold near and dear.  Were it not for Al-Qaeda and the Taliban, Iran would be our #1 burr under the saddle. 

There are a number of indicators (nuclear weapons program, sophisticated and effective tactical weapons, etc.) that suggest that the Iranian people are technically astute and capable.  Furthermore, there is a long history of aggression and conquest in that part of the world.

Even if the government is an enemy, we need to respect them!

Eye witnesses reported that the flaming planes landed on the mausoleum burial site of the Islamic revolution's founder Ruhollah Khomeini, a national shrine. According to Western observers, no distress signals came from either cockpit indicating that the collision and explosions were sudden and fast.

Maybe they should take that as a sign from GOD that HE really isn't too pleased with them and their godless ways and that should a battle come with HIS chosen ones they are gonna crash and burn like their planes did. I think it especially fitting where it fell and what it then burned. That just might be a omen from above.

don't underestimate them i taught many of their men when the shah was in control. they were tough dedicated and smart. Their motivation was great they sent men to learn a job if they returned unable to do the job they were shot.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who sees the irony of that crash site. Problem is, they wouldn't know a sign from the REAL God if it bit them in the butt. The Godless ones will get the war they so desperately seek, but they aint gonna like it. POWDERMAN.
