Hmm, don't remember any other school songs about living presidents recently, do you?

Doing a quick search, teaching school children songs about sitting leaders is a common feature of socialist and communist regimes. Here's an oldie sung for Hitler on his birthday:

"Adolf Hitler is our savior, our hero.
He is the noblest being in the whole wide world.
For Hitler we live,
For Hitler we die.
Our Hitler is our Lord,
Who rules a brave new world."

Another common feature of socialist/communist regimes is the emphasis on the role of children in the future, empowering them to even overthrow their parents.

Do I think Obama is behind this? Probably not. Do I think the Socialist/Communist members of our nation are trying to capitalize on his presidency? Absolutely. Same game, different geography.

Children Sing Carols for Ronald Reagan

The children in Sandy Toring's kindergarten class weren't old enough to remember when the man standing before them Friday ran the country. Their teacher and parents had told them about Ronald Reagan, but to the kids he was just a nice guy in a dark blue suit.

So they sang for him, running through several Christmas tunes. He even joined them for a few, then posed for photos with the kids in front of his office Christmas tree.

There's a difference between singing to or with a President and singing about a sitting president; it's called lyrical content and learning through singing. Those poor kids are learning that Obama is a great savior of the people. The kids in your article were singing about Christmas with Ronny. Seriously, you don't see a difference? Seems I saw another thread about this subject and I posted there about the Nazi similarities! I dont know if obamma put anyone up to it and he may not have but he didnt quash it neither! No there no difference with kids singing to Reagan. We could say how many of the children are jews singing christmas songs to Reagan. Its just silly the kids are having fun. I could see if the children were singing words as they did for hitler.

The hypocricy of public education sickens me. Every state has a set of standards regarding pedagogy,subject knowledge and objectivity. The last one is ignored often by teachers from what I have seen. I know that in my home state the fourth standard for teaching in a public school is that a teacher needs to refrain from using his or her influence in the classroom for personal politics. Well that standard from what I see in my education career is all too often ignored.

Teachers are required by law for a lack of a better term to be neutral in the classroom regarding politics,at least that is how I read the regulations regarding teaching standards. What I have witnessed is that many teachers by their very nature influence their students to see their point of view. This is especially true in affluent communities as well as areas that are indebtted to a particular political party. In many classrooms you can praise Obama but can't objectively criticize the man. You can make jokes about a previous president but the current one will have you labeled as a racist( which of that term most people do not know the correct definition and overused).

Hmm. This gives me an idea.

My mother was in Nazi Germany as a child and they had exercises like that. They liked Hitler and she had a positive impression of him. Stuff like that has an effect, and it is entirely wrong for a Government to make a hero of its leader. It is a totalitarian trick.

When Christmas Carols are sung, that is praising the Lord......note: CHRISTmas.

The Obama songs were sung to praise Obama..one even used the tune & some of the words to "Jesus loves the little children"..however they didn't mention God's name..only Obama's..

As most all opf us know, Pres Reagan was quick and constant at praising the Lord and NEVER insisted on school children praising himself.
There may well have been some teacher somewhere (unbeknownst to their union) who wanted to praise Pres Reagan; but rest assured, he would have stopped that.
So far we don't hear any complaint by "O", telling the teacher not to put his name in place of God's.

Teacher should be fired. And no doubt, a product of brain washing that she had as a student. Probabley see's absoulutley nothing wrong with what she's doing to these kids. Probably find an old video of her from 10 years ago on spring break in the middle of a wet t-shirt contest, as that's all college was to most of these idiots. gypsyman
