Hey Tim thanks for the use of the reamer it worked perfectly  :) I had a hell of a time trying to find a tap handle that would fit! and in the end never did find one. So I made one that I will include in the return of the reamer to you, its not a beauty of a tool by anyone's standards, but will more then do the job. I thought it was going to take awhile to do the chambering .... but it only took five mins or so. I stopped when it started to just cut the rim, what worked out great here was that it evened out the rim so that the rounds are held in perfect alignment with the bore and what was a 1 1/2" at 50 yards with 38 sp.... now shoots the same 38 sp 1/2" at 50 yards. I am very happy with my gun and if anyone is thinking of doing this .... stop thinking and just do it  ;D  And the tap still cuts perfectly.

How many guns have been done with this reamer now?

Thanks again
Darrel

If I'm not on here much, it's because I'm waiting at the mailbox. ;) Can't wait to get her done. I received have a box of 100 cases, a box of 187gr. CPB and a new set of dies from Lee. I tried one of the new cases in the barrel and it sure won't take much cutting, it's already almost there!

Mine was a rare one, 360 DW case needed to be trimmed .010" to fit in the chamber, took about 10-15 minutes on the reamer to git er done to Max, still haven't shot it, but will soon, the 260 took precedence!  :D Some members have been able to use trimmed Max brass without reaming!!  :o

Sorry Tim, we have a really neat system here. All mail leaves Batesville and goes to Jonesboro. From there it goes to Little Rock. THEN it gets to get on it's way to it's destination.
When I sent my BC in for the .204 barrel it took a nice scenic trip around the Eastern United States. Every day I would check the tracking and it would be in another city, just not the proper one! My rifle had a better vacation that I did!

;D ;D ;D  Not a problem, just makes me a little nervous when it takes more than 3 days, but the record is 6 days from right here within Washington state!!  ::) :-\ Never did figure out where it had been all that time, it just showed up 6 days after it was accepted at the PO.  ???

USPS can do strange things.  We received a letter once which was half a year getting to us - it had a cancellation stamp of Antarctica!  Never did figure out how a letter from Seattle to Ketchikan ended up at the South Pole....

Tim,

Mailman delivered the package this morning, I performed the surgery, and got it back in the mail this afternoon.

I want to thank you for your helpfulness and all of the good info.

And, I'll add my "amen" to what others have said about how quick & easy this procedure is. I hope to git er to the range before too long.

Tim, the reamer was in the mailbox when I got home tonight.  Did my barrel and packed it back up along with a donation.  My daughter should be able to get it to the post tomorrow or Friday.  By the way, the reamer still looks like new and cuts that way too.  How many chambers have been cut with it so far?
