Bought a new P11 - nice gun.
« on: September 26, 2009, 02:42:58 PM »
Recently bought myself a brand new Kel-Tec P11 for CC.  Tried it out for the first time yesterday.  Great gun, works fine, no jams, no failure to feed and I'm happy with it.  Only issue I had with it is - wow, what a L O N G  trigger pull.  You pull, pull and pull and when almost ready to give up, it fires.  It is accurate and shoots POA.  After ten shots, the tiny white dot in the right side of the rear sight fell out.  Guess I'll have to get some good paint and touch up the tiny indentation with a toothpick.

Congrats on the new gun!
I picked one up about 6 months ago and its been a great little gun.  I had to put a box of ammo through it before it would feed smoothly, but since then it runs great.
I'll looked into reducing trigger pull, but its not really possible without risking light primer strikes.
My wife had some white finger nail polish that worked great for the rear sight on mine.

Using the white finger nail polish may be the way to go.  Thanks. :)

I'll have to ask her where she got it (probably Sally's Beauty Supply), but she has a bright white "fingernail art" pen that has a tiny little marker point.  It is great for sight touch-ups and its a whole lot easier than trying to use a nail brush!

After the tiny white dot in the rear sight fell out, I contacted KelTek and they quickly sent me a new rear sight.  Dang good customer relations. :)
