What not following rules had led to.
« on: October 07, 2003, 05:11:51 PM »
Subject has been changed to reflect the truth. Formerly it was: Randy Wakeman Has Me BANISHED

GB

Again, this thread is locked and will be deleted shortly. No individual has used any "clout" to get someone warned. The rules of this site were broken, and the people involved were told not to do it again. End of story.

Flatlander

Well folks it's been nice.  Thanks for all the advice but it looks like this will be my last post on this forum.  I've been banished by the Management .
Apparently Randy Wakeman has much more clout on this forum than anyone else.  Watch what you say and enjoy his veiled insults.
Hunting season is almost here .  Good luck all!

Please try and keep your smart $%# comments to yourself.

If you can't be civil, please don't respond to my posts.

Thanks.

i edited and locked this thread, lets keep it clean and civil guys. GB runs a
family oriented site here, and i for one want to keep it that way. i dont think
Randy meant any smart remarks by his reply, if i am following correctly

MY RESPONCE:

Date : Wed, 8 Oct 2003 02:58:40 GMT

This matter was resolved well over a week ago.
It started with the comment to a question I asked:

<My FFL guy says he can't get a 50 cal Encore BP barrel.

Says all the "big boys" have bought up the entire lot and locked up
 the market. Is this true?

Thanks >

Randy Wakeman Responds:

"Apparently, you don't believe him? Encore .50 caliber barrels are
available, and you sure don't need an FFL to buy one."

No kidding?  I didn't know that!!!  Maybe I use a retired gun dealer who gets me
DEALER prices because he is a friend of mine?

This guy has a condescending comment for almost every poster who asks a
question.  He belittles the poster as an implied idiot and then comes back with
" Well, you deserve better than that".  I posted a comment about
pierced primers in the TC Encore 12 gauge slug gun.  His condescending response was :

Randy Wakeman
"Why is piercing primers a problem? Who cares?"

I contacted TC and they say pierced primers ARE a concern.  Ask them YOURSELF.
This guy is giving out bad and potentially DANGEROUS advice on your site.  You
should consider this for liability reasons.

No need to delete me from your site.  I'm leaving as of now.
I'll find a better forum I'm sure.  This one was the first on my search so I
 gave it a try.
It sure took you long enough to get mad.  This matter was resolved well over a
 week ago.
Good day.

Strange. I've never complained about ANY poster on this forum, period-- even those that put my name in the subject box. As to the thread that apparrently caused consternation, you might as well read it all, rather than just an isolated portion of it:

Apparently, you don't believe him? Encore .50 caliber barrels are available, and you sure don't need an FFL to buy one.

It's first ordered, first fulled . . . Thompson has no inventory on hand, and enough backorders to keep them busy until next year. The same situation was at the end of 2002 - - - it took T/C until April 2003 or so to fill the previous year's orders.

You'll need a 209x50 forend.

Barrels seem to be available in my area. Order over the net if you cannot find them locally.

If all else fails, buy an Omega. Same barrel with an extra 2" length!

For the Record:

Boone and Crockett has not YET been deactivated or banned from this site. He has been warned for violation of the rules just as everyone I catch violating them are. Even after this post I've not yet decided to deactivate his account as I don't guess I see this one as a violation of rules so much as just a gripe on his part that he thinks Randy Wakeman has clout which for sure isn't true.

Randy Wakeman who ever he happens to be has never contacted me on any subject. I don't know Randy Wakeman from Adam's housecat. I have absolutely no clue who he is other than I've read a few posts by him on this site. Other than that I've never heard of him or from him.

I just didn't consider the remarks by him to be sufficient to justify the attack on him by B&C and still don't.

As I said in the e-mails to you B&C leave or stay as you please. BUT if you stay follow the rules. Do not make personal attacks, do not name call and do not use foul language. If you have a problem with someone ignore them and don't respond to their posts. If you feel they have violated the site rules let me know. I'll be happy to evaluate the post and decide. Rest assured Randy Wakeman has no more clout on this site than you do or does any other member.
