Relaoding the 240 Weatherby
« on: September 27, 2009, 07:30:51 AM »
Whenever, I full length size  used brass it will not chamber in my 240 Weatherby Encore.  If I use my new or my fired brass it chambers.  It is driving me nuts trying to figure out what it wrong.  Case length is ok.  Just purchased 100 once fired empty cases and cannot make them work. There appears to be a miniscule ring ahead of the belt which is keeping my ammo from chambering.  Any advice willl be appreciated.

Kinda hard to diagnose such things from afar but my guess would be a die problem. What brand dies are you using and when's the last time you took them apart and cleaned? I truly HATE belted cases and the ONLY one I own and likely only one I ever will is a .257 Whby. Mag. I've never had any problems with brass for it.

Thanks GreyBeard, I too finally diagnosd a die problem.  The die is relatively new RCBS so I am going to send it and some cases to them for inspection.
