     Hey, French 75 gunner.  I'm sure that you fired that beauty by now;  how loud are they with a proper service load anyway??  Can you get a real BANG out of that model?  I read somewhere about how an American artillery battery of French 75s started a large bombardment in WWI and another 75 battery 7 miles away heard those first shots!  How far away do you think yours could be heard with a maximum, safe, charge?  The real McCoy was known to have a really sharp 'Crack!', does yours?

Sure is a nice looking gun; be careful.

that ugly wound came as a result of corker wading boots on slippery granite ...... ::)

i was panning a week earlier when i landed hard on my ass ....and slid down the slope of granite and would have plunged into the water .........which was nice and cool .

instead the broken end of a branch stopped my impending fall of maybe 8 inches into nice cool water ....

by imbedding itself in my shin .....at least i didnt get wet ....although i was saoked b4 i got back to the car .....    cold water takes blood right out of socks !

that dog retrieved that dead frenchie  ;D good boy . clearly he is about to futher defile the vanquished foe

i told him ' see there ? we'll make the record fer shure ...look at the neck on that one sparky' he responded
  ' it needs some hydrant i'm tellin ya '
