I built my own carbine many years ago in the 60's before the Italians did. Made it from a Navy Arms (then Ubrti) Remington and a Numrich barrel and assorted parts from Dixie Gun Works. All that aside, I put in an R&D cylinder bought for another revolver just to see what it would do, and it does. A shooting buddy cranked a round at a steel buffalo we have at 200 yards and clanged it, handed it back and said it'll do... I'm sure the made-to-be-a-carbine from the start, from Uberti should be as good or better.
