The Last Gun Show
« on: September 29, 2009, 07:09:43 AM »
At the last gun show there were 3 rifles on one table (private sale) that I wanted real bad.  A sporting weight Winchester Model 70 in 225 Winchester, a Remington 722 in .257 Bob, and a standard weight barrel walnut stocked 700ADL in .223 Remington.  I promised my wife I wouldn't buy another gun for a year.  I still have 11 months to go.

Hang in there.
I'm sure that list will grow if you give it a chance.
Besides you have 11 months to tune and shoot what you have and replace anything on the rifles you have with other items.
You know that old Bushnell banner scope on the 22 that the rubber parts have crumbled off of and you either want to find a new rubber parts or replace it with a Weaver scope. Here is your chance.
OK that's me.  I have put off my next rifle till I get all the rifles I have running smooth and replace all the little things about them that tick me off.  After that, look out! I see at least three still on the list.

That's what I'm doing too.  New scopes & improving my reloading equipment.  I'm thinking this will actually be good for me.  I can get some Handi Rifle & Pardner barrels fitted.

That Remington 722 sounds nice.  I been wanting one of those myself.  Think I'll get one in .300 Savage though since I already have a .257 Roberts.  Kinda looking for a Mossberg 810 in .243 too.

Patience grasshoppa.  I'm sure they will be something equally interesting when your sentence is up :D.  Probably, anyways - last gunshow I went to only thing that even remotely interested me was a stripped AR15 lower, a wooden teal decoy, and an old Spanish Mauser sporter in .243.  I got the lower and the decoy, but decided that a .243 is going a bit too far pressure-wise in a small ring mauser.  All in all it was a pretty disappointing show.

swampman don't buy the gun , buy something else the guy has like a pencil or something if he gives you the gun , you know to help him some for being so nice and giving you the gun . If the gun price and the pencil cost the same what can you say ?
My grand father paid $800.00 dollars for a used truck back when WW2 was going on . Trucks had a cieling on price but chain did not . So the bidding was for the chain and who ever got the chain got the truck also .
creative buying ! :-X
If ya can see it ya can hit it !
