.44 in S&W as opposed to Ruger

I've seen some posts around that suggests the S&W cannot handle hot .44 loads like a Ruger single action. I've had a Bisley for a long time that I love, and just recently acquired a 629-5 I look forward to shooting as well. Is this a myth? Do I need to be gentle with my 629?

push  the ejector rod  out

are the points square  or  asymetrical??

if they are squre  don't push  it

there  are other ways to idendify  the  stronger  ones
but they slip my  mind

either   way  i don't think any 629  is as strong as the ruger

i have put several hundred round of heavy loaded not over max loads thru 629s over the years. never any problems, still very tight. unless you shoot very heavy overmax loads i really do not think you could hurt one. rugers are built like bank vaults. very accurate too.  i own 2 and both are very accurate. shot these groups over the weekend.

SAMMI admisters the specs not Bill Ruger. Both will handle any factory rounds you care to shoot. Rugers(both Redhawks and Blackhawks) are really (over) built for experimenters(guys that like to push the envelope).
