That idiotic Oprah siad is was not "rape, rape;" whatever that means. The big celebrities are signing petitions to stop prosecution. If the scumbag had raped my 13 year old daughter there would be no extradition because Mr Polanski would have stopped breatheing the day after the rape.

It is unbelieveable that the lefties and hollywood stars have the attitude they do toward a child molester. Could it be that so many of them have the same inclinations?

One thing listed bothers me , when a 13 year old and an adult have to decide right and wrong the adult well should be and act like an adult , protect the child . Seems he either allowed or gave to the 13 year old illegal drugs and booze is that being an adult ? Did he protect her ? No he raped her , put his own pleasure ahead of her rights .

Yes, here not long age a 17 year old boy and a 15 year old girl were getting it on and her parents found out about it. He is in prison with his life ruined. She on the other hand is still out here banging every thing coming down the road!
Once they get 15 to 16 and are willing or more likely the aggressor no one should go to jail over it no matter what the guy's age.
Polanski on the other hand committed rape! It was not consensual. He pled guilty of a lesser charge and then jumped bail. He should have to do what ever time they gave him, plus 15 years for escape.

Nicholson was not home and had been gone for some time.

The girls mother WAS in the house, and it's believed she had some idea of what was happening, so why wasn't she charged? My "gut feeling" is, there was a payoff done there, and that's why the victom wants it all to go away now, so the truth doesn't come out.

BS!!!!!!!!!!!! We aren't talking here about a kid who is a year or two older than his girlfriend. When a man is thirty, forty, or more years old, I don't care how aggressive she is, he should be hung up by his nads.

this just shows i don t watch the news much as its the first i heard of it..
but he apparently is guilty of taking advantage of what i consider to be a girl child
at thier most dangerouse time in life... no excuse ,,only god can forgive him.. but if it was my daughter

The way I read she was a child by all descriptions and he was an adult by same.
Unless he's a complete mental defect, which he clearly isn't, he has no defense in a situation like this.
He was found guilty and skipped the country.
So even if you can't make a clear thought about the rape he still jumped bail.
Kind of scrams "I'm guilty as hell of raping someones baby!", to me.

Here's an article from yesterdays LA Times. Besides comments on Polanski's Hollywood supporters it includes some of the 13 yr old girl's testimony from original Grand Jury transcripts. Hard to read, i.e., about the actual actions of a child predator...he's where he belongs and I hope he never gets out of jail again.
